Roast Guinea Pigs for Christmas
Having owned a guinea pig, I am utterly horrified that Peru is promoting roast guinea pigs for Christmas. Turkeys and pork have long been a tradition of Christmas and now, they are promoting the social herbivores for Christmas.
Unfortunately, it’s a delicacy in some countries.
Hi, unfortunately for some in that part of the world its a staple diet of protein. Even though it does make you feel sick, they are considered a pest there, and easy picking to eat.
I have Guinea Pigs myself, and not sure if I could eat them. Its just one of those sad facts.

I HAD A GUINEA PIG THAT LOOKED A LOT LIKE THE SMOOTH HAIRED ONE ON THE PICTURE AND SHE JUST DIED OF CANCER AND WHEN I SEARCH GUINEA PIGS ON GOOGLE AND FIND THESE F–KING UGLY PICTURES I GET SO ANGRY BECAUSE LOOKING AT WHAT PEOPLE ARE DOING TO POOR LITTLE GUINEA PIGS JUST EATING THEM ITS SO F–KING STUPID. I MISS MY GUINEA PIG A LOT SHE WAS VERY SPECIAL TO ME AND SHES NOT ALIVE ANYMORE. NO ONE ATE HER BUT THE LOVE I HAD FOR MY GUINEA PIG WAS A LOT. WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY IS THESE LITTLE “YUMMY TASTING” FOODS ARE REAL LIVING THINGS AND EVERY ONE OF THEM BEING COOKED SOMEONE ELSE COULDVE LOVED THEM AS MUCH AS I LOVED MINE AND BE CARED FOR AND NOT BROILED IN LARGE AMOUNTS. THESE KINDS OF ANIMALS ARE NOT FOR BEING EATEN THEY ARENT SOLD IN USA AS FOOD FOR THESE REASONS. THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE LOVE THEM AND HAVE THEM FOR PETS. PEOPLE DONT HAVE COWS FOR PETS ILL TELL YOU THAT! THEYRE NOT SUPPOSE TO BE EATEN AND THATS ALL ILL SAY

It’s funny people get offended when the animal is cute. But don’t care if it is a cow. But what is the difference? Go vege!
To some, it’s considered cruel and disgusting to eat pigs, chickens, cows and sheep. Why is a guinea pig any different? Because we can stroke them and they look cute? A squirrel is just like a rat with a big bushy tail. How many of you are vegans?
